Way back in March of 2010, I featured this idea for a teacher’s box of goodies:

It was linked to my link party from the creative girls from Eighteen 25 and I bookmarked it to someday recreate this gift for one of my kid’s teachers.
I bought the box right away, but I waited for the school supplies to go on clearance after the Back-to-School sales.
Leah’s teacher this year is also a good friend of mine, so for her birthday last month, Leah and I put this together for her- complete with a Sonic gift card on the inside because this particular teacher has been known to stop by Sonic before school for her Diet Coke fix!
(If you want a tutorial for creating this box, visit Eighteen 25.)
The supplies I used for the gift came in plastic containers and because I like to snack on candy while I craft, I has some candy nearby. These boxes seemed to be the perfect size for some Starbursts and Airheads, so in a matter of minutes, a new gift idea was born!
I simply filled these boxes with candy…
tied a ribbon around it…
and that’s it!
2 gifts in 1!

This is a great way to gift something that would otherwise be trash. Thanks for the idea!
