The 5 Spring Beauty Products I’m Coveting

As a beauty blogger, it’s my job to try a lot of new products. Whether I’m reviewing eye creams, perfumes, lotions, nail polishes, eyeshadow or beyond, I get excited about each and every product that comes my way. Sometimes I’m let down. Not necessarily because a product is bad, but because it doesn’t work for me or because I’ve simply got another product I prefer way more.

Other times, though, I encounter products that quickly become favorites. Some, dare I say it, even become my holy grail — or HG — products. Today I’m sharing five new-to-me spring beauty products that I’m just tickled about. I know you’ll enjoy them just as much as I do!

Tocca Parfum in “Simone”

I am a self-admitted Tocca-holic. This Italian brand specializes in fragrances and boy do they excel at what they do. Each perfume they concoct is rich and inviting, but never cloying or overpowering.

TOCCA

Simone is their newest fragrance, which debuted in March. I’ve been wearing it every single day since I got my hands on it and the compliments keep pouring in. Simone is described as “sparkling notes of the tropical frangipani flower cutting through the salty sea air, unfolding into creamy layers of watermelon, ylang-ylang and Freesia. Her dry down leaves a unique blend of traditional men’s aftershave notes, like Creamy Lactones and Nircanolide, on the skin.”

Chella Eyeliner in “Indigo Blue”

One of the hottest colors for spring 2014 is bright blue. Of course, there are only a few places that make sense to apply this color, as it’s not exactly befitting for cheeks or lips. Nails are one place to wear the color, but so are eyes by way of eyeliner. That’s why I’m coveting Chella eyeliner in “Indigo Blue” this spring.

CHELLA

The Chella eyeliner glides on cleanly to help you create a sharp point. It’s also saturated with color, so you won’t have to keep applying it over and over again until you get a “wow” result. I love blue eyeliner with a “bare” face, light blusher and pink or nude lip.

Tony Moly Cristal Blusher in “Milky Violet”

Another hot color (or should I say cool color) for spring 2014 is purple. After all, Pantone named Radiant Orchid their color of the year and we’ve seen celebs and beauty gurus rocking everything purple — including their hair!

One unexpected place I’ve been sneaking in a little purple is on my cheeks via Tony Moly’s Cristal Blusher in “Milky Violet.” I have a bit of a thing for Korean and Asian skincare and this is a recent purchase I made from RoseRoseShop.

This purple blush doesn’t look clownish at all. Instead, it creates this luminescent highlight effect that’s brilliant for spring.

Doll Face Facial Foaming Cleanser and Face Polish

I feel like I’m channeling my inner doll every time I head to the bathroom sink to wash off the day’s makeup. Doll Face Beauty may be an unfamiliar brand to you, likely because it’s brand new. I was drawn to the brand because they put an emphasis on combining science and nature in an effective way. Plus, they utilize fair trade ingredients wherever possible and even use recycled materials for their (super adorable) packaging.

DollFace

I’ve been using the Doll Face “Illuminating Face Polish,” which employs fruitactiv, AHA complex and jojoba beads to clean and exfoliate the face. It has a light, clean scent and exfoliates gently without feeling too harsh.

I’m also in love with their Invigorate Triple Action Facial Cleanser, which foams up nicely and leaves the skin feeling clean, but never stripped. It’s a good one to use in the morning, as the bright, citrus-y scent wakes you right up!

Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain in Smitten

Finally, I’ve got to include my Revlon Balm Stain in “Smitten” on this list. I have a slew of the Revlon balm stains, mostly because they’re so easy to apply and have some seriously impressive pigmentation. “Smitten” is my daily go to, especially now that things have warmed up. It’s slightly pink, but not overtly so, and brightens my overall look!
