I found this great idea from Trey & Lucy. Tanya gives a great tutorial and makes it look sooo easy! There are a lot of people on etsy selling super cute ones too! Here is what the dresses can or should look like:

Trey and Lucy’s tutorial looked easy enough so I decided to give it a try and maybe work my way up to the more advanced dresses… and here is what happened…
Mine looked like a tent on Leah- not flattering at all! I might try this again someday, but for now I will add this to our list of Craftastrophies and move on. The rest of you can keep laughing…

Hey, I thought your dress was super cute!!! I've been thinking about trying one of these this summer, but they do look cute with a shirt underneath, so maybe I won't have to wait!
All of the dresses are adorable, including yours! Hard to see the whole thing, but it sure looks like it turned out great. I think we're all too hard on ourselves.
I'm the same way sometimes when I make something, but I could see someone else do it the exact same way and love it.

I've followed that tutorial also, and mine looked like a tent too! I don't know where I went wrong, but it was awful. Just awful.

I don't think your dress was a total fail either. Maybe it will be a little less tenty when she's a bit bigger?
