Even though it is almost September and we should soon be busting out our fall decor, those of us in Arizona are still experiencing triple-digit heat! And there is only so much you can do when the sun is dancing around the summer sky; swimming is a favorite of ours, but other than water activities, staying outdoors is not safe nor practical. Which is why I am always looking for ways to beat the heat indoors, and why I love Chuck E. Cheese’s almost as much as my kids do! Last week we experienced some insane heat (115 for 4 days straight!) and being stuck inside had us all a bit stir-crazy. I decided to load all the kids up and we headed to Chuck E. Cheese’s for dinner and fun.

We ordered some yummy BBQ pizza, and even though it tasted great, it was like pulling teeth getting my kids to sit still and eat with all the excitement around! So I let them off to play and they all ate their (now cold) pizza when all their tokens were gone! This is the perfect place for every kid to have fun! My oldest is 9 and my youngest turned 1 last month and I think they were all equally entertained. I gave my oldest 3 their own cup of tokens and they were off, only coming back to sip their soda and tell me about the awesome game or mechanical ride they just tried.

Each of my kids got 25 tokens and we spent a solid 2+ hours there- waaaaayyyy worth the money, if you ask me! I’d suggest bringing a friend or two so the moms can chat while the kids explore- I’ve met friends there before and it is a great place to catch up! Besides being fun, I love that Chuck E. Cheese’s is clean and safe! Parents and children receive a stamp on their arm upon entry that is unique only for them. No child can leave the building without an employee opening the gate, which is done only after your stamps are checked. So I don’t have to worry about my kids leaving without me, or even worse, being taken! Chuck E. Cheese’s really is a fun place for the whole family!
