As I sat in the crowd of 3,000 women listening to the fabulous presenters at Time Out For Women, the theme of the conference posed a question in my mind, “What did I want to become?”
I’d love to become a lot of things, actually, but as I sat and pondered what I wanted more than anything else, it was to be a good mom. I want my kids to remember me playing with them, laughing with them, helping them and loving them.
I need to enjoy the simple things.
I need to simplify.
I need to become a simple mom.
To document my process of “becoming”, I created a new blog. It’s not anything like Somewhat Simple, but rather a candid online journal of the joys and frustrations, the happiness and the heartaches that come with trying to become the best mom I can possibly be.
Becoming A Simple Mom {dot} com
Since Somewhat Simple has been so fun to create and has helped me develop my creative side, maybe writing a blog about my family will help me develop my talents as a mom and turn my thoughts towards my children and family! Becoming a Simple Mom is my way for me to focus on the simple things, to promote the joys of motherhood & live in the now and not have any regrets.
I’m choosing to become a simple mom. And this is going to be a fabulous journey…
