Cassette Tape Card And A Silhouette Promotion

I never keep blank greeting cards on hand. I once hoarded them, but part of overcoming that hoarding desire was to get greetings cards on an as need basis. I knew that card making was easy and a growing trend, I just didn’t think I could ever pull it off myself. Enter: Silhouette and the online design store! Did you know that the Silhouette can not only let you start your projects from scratch, but the online store also offers a HUGE selection of pre-made layouts of designs, clip arts, and templates? Let me show you what I mean by bragging about this Cassette Tape Card I recently made:

I mean, for my first time ever making a card it looks pretty awesome, right? Especially for an 80’s themed or music lovers in your life! It wasn’t hard to make because it was a Silhouette design I purchased- design ID 10572 “Cassette Tape Shape Card” by Alaa’ K.
When purchasing a design from the online store, the shapes and layers are already done for you. All you have to do is load the paper you want for the shape or layer you want. This card was done in 6 cuts and a sketch pen draw. I used mostly paint chip swatches (hello, free!) and a piece of cardstock. And just like that, I’ve got the perfect card to go with an iTunes gift card. And really, you can put any message on the cassette tape sticker note, this card just happened to be for a birthday.
