Here is a simple tutorial for the party favors we made for Ethan’s Halo Birthday Party.
I’m going to include some free downloads at the end of this post with some variations so you can use them for other party themes too.
I wanted to have something for Ethan’s friends to take home ,but I think 9 year olds are a little past the age of a goody bag with bubbles and plastic parachute men. And the boys loved getting their own packs of gum. (I loved that these only cost me about $1 each!)
- Pack of Extra Gum
- Tape (I used double-sided)
- Scissors
- Cardstock for Printable (free download below)
- Camo Ribbon
- Hole Punch & Corner Rounder, not shown
1. Print and cut out your printable. Round the corners if you’d like & punch 2 holes, 1 on each side.
2. Place the printable on the front of the pack of gum and put the ribbon behind it. Lace the ribbon through the holes of the cardstock.
3. Secure the ribbon to the back and secure the cardstock to the front with some tape.
AND YOU’RE DONE!
Here are some free printables I made using the Sprik Space Trelis background.
Each file is 1 sheet of multiple labels in the same color. Just choose the color you’d like and have fun!

I love these, Steph! And I have a nine year old boy’s birthday this weekend! Perfect!
Stephanie, these are super cute! We are having a party this weekend and I so adding these to the goodie bags! Thanks for sharing.
This could be a ” thank you” for a variety of events or just someone making your day. Such a great idea.

Thanks!
Hi can u tell me how I can change the wording, and make it say house warming? I love this idea:)
Hi Fatima- Unfortunately with PDFs you wont be able to change the text. Sorry about that!
I love these!! So cute and easy. What size ribbon did you use?
I think the ribbon was 2 inch ribbon. Hope that helps!
I just love this idea. It is awesome. I used Avery Labels (5164) to stick to the back of the gum, because I forgot to buy cardstock. It worked great.
Thank you so much! I will be using these this week! Yay!
Thank you so much for sharing!! Printed off the white on red card stock, for my daughter’s ladybug birthday party!! They turned out so cute and are the perfect party favor for all the adult at a one year old’s party!!
These are great! I’m going to modify the birthday thanks and make them for my “Extra Special” volunteers.
Thanks for a terrific idea!
