Last year, I told my husband I was going to plan a date that was out-of-the-ordinary.
(He was less than thrilled when I told him it involved crafting with hot glue and rhinestones!)
We dropped the kids off at grandma’s house and headed to the grocery store where we bought the ingredients for dinner and the supplies for the kid’s Easter baskets.
(Can I just say how fun it is to go grocery shopping without kids?)
Once home, we made dinner- together!
Then we turned some music on and busted out the bags of baskets, eggs and candies. I grabbed my hot glue guns and some crafty embellishments (ribbon, rhinestones, puffy paint etc.) and we personalized the plastic baskets we bought at the store. My husband did Leah’s and I did our boys.
And the one my husband did was WAYYYYY cuter than the ones I did! He does have a creative bone inside him, who knew?!?
(I blame the fact that my “boyish” embellishments were lame- I can’t use rhinestones for boys!)
The night was fun- even my husband agreed!
Sometimes it’s nice to have a relaxing night in.
I think I will make this an annual tradition.
