Girly Organizer with Posh Pieces

I am so thrilled to be a guest at Somewhat Simple today. Thank you so much Stephanie for giving me the opportunity.

I have been in the process of updating both  my children’s rooms. In the process I have started making things that will go with the theme or decor of the room.

I decided to make my daughter a backpack or coat hook.

I started with this block that I purchased at Michaels for under $1.

I got some pretty paper for $.59 a piece.

I used mod podge to glue and then seal the paper to the wood.

I purchased two drawer knobs at the hardware store for the “hook” part.

I painted her initial with glue, then sprinkled Martha Stewart glass beads on it. This turned out really pretty, and added some texture to it.

Here is the finished project.

I started one for my son’s room too, and I will hopefully have it finished this weekend.
~Have a wonderful day~
