AND NOW FOR A FUN TUTORIAL…
Giving flowers is a nice gesture, especially as a thank you to friends and loved ones who have come through for you when you needed a helping hand. A common problem with the giving of a bouquet is the tiny postcard on a stick it comes with. You’re expected to write your thoughts into words on such a small piece of paper? Here was my solution, my ”Hey Bud” Bouquet Card. Using the new silhouette design studio software I created my own bouquet card on a stick- large enough to express all of my thoughts and feelings of gratitude. The software made it so easy for me to make this card look darling next to the flowers I gave.
Using the upgraded “knife” tool in the software, I was able to manipulate shapes to create the stick form to be cut out in cardstock. I made sure to create a perforated edge for easy card folding. One of the unique features about the Silhouette Design Studio software upgrade is that you can take any shape, form or words and using the “sketch” tool, create a scribble effect to your project. This tool has many different scribble effects available; I used “pencil” scribble for my word fill.
You probably remember my 4th Of July t-shirts I made last month using rhinestones with my Silhouette? In the upgraded version of the software, you are no longer limited to the rhinestone designs given to you! You can actually take any design and use the “rhinestone” tool to create your template for rhinestones. This is probably my favorite feature of the Silhouette Design Studio. I took my flower image, and created spots for rhinestones to give this card a 3 dimensional look.
This card is a great addition to the bouquet I gave to my “bud” as a thank you for all her help. It was made entirely with my Silhouette Cameo using the Design Studio software upgrade. Don’t miss out on this great promotion- get your upgrade today!
