Hi there! It’s Deanna from Mirabelle Creations. With the 2014 Winter Olympics starting in just days, the excitement for the Games is rapidly building! Have you caught the Olympics fever yet? New events like the Figure Skating Team Event, Luge Relay Event, and Ski Halfpipe help to guarantee this is going to be the biggest and most exciting Winter Olympics to date.
If you’re looking to host a Winter Olympics party or just celebrate the start of the Games in a special way, I’ve got you covered. I created this Olympics Party for the 2012 Summer Olympics as a special way to start the Games with my family. Just a few simple Olympics themed treats will have your guests going for gold, and seconds!
Gold Medal Oreos are a no-bake treat that can be made in minutes using just Vanilla Oreos and fruit leather.
You could also place the Gold Medal Oreos in a plastic bag for a cute take home favor. They bags can be topped off with an Olympics themed party circle.
Watermelon Olympics Rings are a healthy treat that can be made with two different sized circle cookie cutters.
Red and navy decorations, like ribbon, paper straws, and fabric add a little patriotic color to a table set up. Red candies can also be used throughout the party.
For drinks, orange juice and “Go for Gold” Pineapple muffins carry out the gold medal themed refreshments for the party.
