Idea for Teacher Appreciation

This idea for Teacher Appreciation could not be any easier to create!

All you need is an oven mitt and some treats (candy, pencils, pens etc.), some ribbon and the free printable below.

Fill your oven mitt with the treats, add a tag with some ribbon and that is it!

If you’d like to use the same tag I used, click here to download it.

How are you showing appreciation for your child’s teachers this year?

As the daughter of a second grade teacher who has been teaching for more than 35 years, I thought I’d share a this great piece of advice. Most teachers do not want pencils and candy as an appreciation gift. Yes, it’s the thought that counts, but their lives do not revolve around pens and pencils. Teachers are normal human beings outside of the classroom, so a gift card to a restaurant, the mall, a pedicure, manicure, Target (never Borders or Barnes and Noble) are great gifts. And, if money is tight, my mom always appreciates a hand-written note from the student instead of a Starbucks card that was probably picked up 10 minutes before school. Just thought I’d share this with everyone as you consider teachers this week!

The teachers at our school would LOVE this! They spend so much of their own money on extra school supplies. Yes, they are normal human beings and gift cards would be nice but supplies they can use are also very helpful and free up their money for other things. Just my opinion
