I think my kids have been making out their Christmas lists for about 6 months now! Especially my 9-year old, he comes to me almost weekly (no joke) with a "change of plans" conversation and why he wants some other toy over the one he mentioned the week before!
Lucky for him (and me!) the Holidays are nearing and it will soon be time to buy SOME of the holiday gifts he has had his eyes on.
Are there any layaway fans out there? Placing items on layaway is a great way to stake claim, or "hold it" until you can purchase it entirely. How it works: You pay only a part of the price initially and are able to have it in your hands only after all the money has been paid. It is a great way to "lock in" a sale price when you're not quite able to fork over all the cash at the time of the sale.
There are a lot of stores with a layaway policy, but Kmart's policy seems to be the most convenient and accomodating. potential Kmart items to place on layaway for your family and friends. Unlike at other retailers, Kmart lets you put items on layaway year round, they let you buy online and pick up in their store, and Kmart offers free layaway! Sweet!
Another great feature is that they have their entire store merchandise available, so if you have a 9 year old who likes to change his mind (like I have!), rest assured anything he could possibly want will still be available to place on layaway!
