Ribbon and Pearls Bracelet or Necklace

SIL Craft Fest 2009
Project #1

Ever since I saw this great tutorial months ago, I have had it on my list of things to create! So you can imagine my excitement when Megan #1 brought all the supplies for us to make to our Sacramento vacation!

(Check out the tutorial on Oh So Crafty for step-by-step instructions.)
All you need is ribbon, pearls, needle & thread.
(Get some really strong thread!!! We learned that the hard way!)

Here is one way you can do it- pearls alternately lining each side of the ribbon:
Or you can do it this way and have ribbon bunched up between each pearl:
(I still can’t decide which way I like best!)

I love this fun twist on a classic piece of jewelry!

On another note, today I am being featured here:

I feel so special! How nice!

Wonderful post! I like the first way best of the photos of your arm, but they both look good!
Maybe one of each and at the same time as well? Or maybe that is the Caribbean way of overdoing things!

I am giving away wallpapers made out of some of my artphotos today in my blog, grab them if you like and make the computer beautiful as well.

Ps, I like the new design of your blog! It is like when a new year arrives, we want out with the old, and we want to find something new!

I love your blog, its greatness in simplicity. Stumbled here from Erika's blog, and am thanking myself I did.. You have a way of creating fabulous stuff out of simple things, and that really commendable. The bracelets are beautiful, I like the 2nd one best!
