AND NOW FOR THE SILVER FOIL LABEL…
This time of year, with the cooler weather and the warm loving Holidays, things get a bit more formal. You trade in your flip flops for boots, your jean shorts for slacks, and your card stock for foil. Wait, what? Let me explain! No longer are we hostage to the homemade labeling that we once were! Put your paper away ladies, it is time to work the neighborhood with foil labeling!
Silhouette’s promotion for the Foil Sticker Media Paper has me passing out Cookies In A Jar- a formal jar that had one neighbor of mine fooled! She asked me where I purchased the gift! With the combination of the Silver Foil Label and a scrumptious cookie recipe, you’ll be the talk of the street (in the good way…).
Using the Silhouette Software, I changed my settings to show registration marks on my page. I created a label out of an image from Silhouette’s Postcard Portfolio CD, and a font called “Black Jack”. With my home computer, I first printed my labels on the foil. It really was as simple as that. No tricks or secret tips. I put the foil sheet in the tray, and my printer did the rest! Back on my CAMEO, it detected the registration marks, and knew where to cut to make the perfect label.
This isn’t your average label! It is not flimsy feeling or cheap looking either. It is a thick, silver (or gold!) foil sticker sheet that makes your labeling skills look professional. No fancy printer needed, any home printer (ink jet included!) does the trick and combine it with the CAMEO to do the magic!
In the jar is all of the dry ingredients needed for the cookie recipe. I covered the lid with a piece of fabric and tied it off with a ribbon. In a card that I gave with the Cookies In A Jar, I listed the “wet” ingredients to add in order to form the dough, as well as the baking directions. It sure beats a card stock tag, doesn’t it? And the recipient doesn’t need to know how easy it was for you
