Several weeks ago I came home to a HUGE box of supplies from the new
Martha Stewart Crafts Decorative Paint Line , from Plaid Crafts.
I’ve never been more excited to create something great!
(I felt like Martha herself with all these fun supplies right at my fingertips!)
I wanted my first attempt using these products to be on a simple project,
(just in case Martha makes them look easier than they actually are)
so I made a simple {but darling} stenciled monogram.
Here is how…
Among the box of goodies were the following supplies:
1. Prep your supplies. Replace your paint cap with the roller top. (I used the color “Surf” in the satin finish)

Love it! Can’t wait to get some of these paints!!!

You will love then Dawn!
That is super cute!!! I like it in the entry way. I need to make one now!
I have an extra D monogram if you want it! We might have more success painting than we did sewing, though I still think Id rather sit and chat!
Very cute and so super easy! I may be tempted to get one of these stencils.
The stencils are the best! I was sent several of them and I love them all! They are fun designs!
Love how you spruced up a plain monogram letter. Great job.
Thanks Katie! Simple projects are the best!
How cute! Love the color and the stencil you used, and the little ribbon is such a lovely touch. I have been thinking of doing some monograms around the house. This would be perfect! thanks so much for the idea!
I love the ribbon too! I almost did white to “match” but I love the golden yellow!
what a sweet/simple project! I LOVE it, especially the color!

You should Emily! So easy and cute!!
oooh i love the stencils…i’m running out to michaels!
have fun Molly!
Sure is pretty interesting technique! Who wouldn’t love anything monogramed? This technique can be incorporated with sterling silver monogramed into jewelry line, sure is you can also make gorgeous monograms! It’s incredible and fun to make.
What is the difference between Satin, High Gloss, and Pearl ?
Satin is the most standard finish- not super shiny when it dries, but it doesn’t feel like a chalkboard either.
High Gloss dries shiny.
Pearl dries sort of opalescent- a shiny/foggy finish (hard to explain!) Does that make sense? Like an oyster pearl finish!
I am having a hard time with words tonight!!!
I should have gotten this stencil because I love it! Very cute Steph!!!
Thanks Amy! This stencil is definitely one of my favs!!!
It turned out so beautiful Steph!! I love it!

Well, its not as awesome as your darling pillows, but do like the way it turned out!
Excellent phrase
My Michaels doesn’t seem to want to carry all the stencils. This one is not there! I can’t order it online either. Dang! Anyone near a Michaels find it? Want to send it to me? PUHLEESE?
