Summer Schedule for Kids

This is the second year in a row my family will be following this fun summer schedule. It keeps the kids just busy enough to have something to look forward to each day and definitely adds variety to our summer schedule.

Here is an image that can be printed and laminated and then you can use a dry-erase marker to write the activity you have planned each day:

  3. Cute Idea! I too created a summer schedule but it is more what we are going to do during each hour of the day. I thought it would be good to get it on paper that my kids are expected to do chores, read, and have quiet time each day, in addition to all the fun activities we will be doing. I sure hope it works!

  17. Hi! I linked over here from ann voskamp. Wanted to tell you that I’ve been an at-home mom for almost 17 years and I have four kids. I should have thought of a simple schedule like this, but I never did. We’ve used this loose schedule this week with great success :) It helped me keep my younger two kids engaged and looking forward to something. Just the right amount of structure, but not too rigid. Thank you :)

  31. Hello! I love this idea. Do you have this PDF available in black and white, or at least in darker colors? My printer only prints out b&w and with the light green, it barely shows up! Obviously, I can draw it in myself, I just like the way yours looked! Thanks a million.
