For those of us not being snowed on in May, (sorry Utah!) swimsuit season is here and its time to start thinking about what to wear to the pool, lake, beach, river etc. If you’ve decided to buy something new this year, you really need to consider EssentialSwimwear!

You might remember me writing about this great company last year and since then my love of their bathing suits has multiplied!!!

This is the bathing suit I got last summer:

I got this bathing suit just before our cruise and packed it along with several other swimsuits- it was a cruise, right? I had to have a variety. BUT I ended up wearing this bathing suit 90% of the time because it was my FAVORITE! Here is my review from last year:

“Not only is it totally cute (love the polka dots!), it’s slimming without feeling too snug and modest in all the right places! I love the neckline- just the right amount of coverage- I’m not covered to my collar bone, but my I don’t have to keep pulling up the top to avoid showing too much. The bottoms were a hard choice for me, but I am so happy I went with the hipsters! I wanted a little extra coverage, without feeling frumpy and these are just perfect!”

 

This year, when planning for our trip to Maui, I decided I was only going to bring 2 bathing suits, just in case something happened to the first one. I brought my black polka dot bathing suit (which held up all summer and still looks great) and then I ordered this bathing suit:

I immediately thought the top was fantastic, but I had a hard time with the bottom selection. The hipster bottoms I already had in black were great, but they didn’t come in the color Watermelon, so I went with the high waist bottoms and hoped for the best and I have to say they are awesome! If you want extra support in the mid section, wear the bottoms high, if you dont want an extra layer on your stomach, fold them down and they look darling! I love them, I love them! And look at this:

This bathing suit even fits over my big pregnant belly!

    i love the exact swimsuit you have on- the watermelon twist top with the white bottoms! we just got back from vacation in mexico, and i commented to my husband numerous times that i need a new suit. too late for our vacay, but just in time for the rest of summer!

    I LOVE the twist tops and the fact that you can make it into a tube top swim suit. I’ve been looking for one of these FOREVER!! It’s soooo cute!!

    I love the Ebony Ruffles Halter Top ooh and the Black Metallic Board Shorts. I have lost 45lbs and am so getting a bathing suit this year. Haven’t bought a new one in a few years. I love the Selection!!

    I have been looking for a watermelon or coral colored swimsuit and I LOVE the watermelon twist front top and would probably choose the high waist bottoms or the black hipsters! CUTE!!

    FUN!!! I am so excited! I am 9 weeks pregnant (so blessed – with our first!!) and am from Hawaii. We LIVE in swim suits – but I have yet to find cute ones for the growing belly! These are awesome! I would get the white twist front top and white high waist bottoms – or chocolate, I can’t decide!! Thank you for sharing and doing a wonderful giveaway.

    A friend suggested I visit somewhatsimple.com and enter the giveaway. I took a look at the swimsuits and loved them! My favorite is the candy stripe tankini top and matching bottoms. It’s so cute and has a slight retro feel.
