Organization Projects

This month, Lowes sent me a gift card and said, “Go ORGANIZE something!”

I’m pretty much obsessed with all things organization, so this was an exciting project for me to take part in.

I really wanted this closet in my master bathroom to be more organized- it hasn’t been pretty since we moved into our house 6 years ago.

It used to be organized, I had bins with labels and everything, but because we use this closet all the time, things start getting shoved wherever they fit and pretty soon its just a complete mess!

Here is what I did to this space:

The floor of the closet was disgusting. It felt so good to get in there are wipe everything down.

And look at all that junk! How did it all fit inside there?!

My 3 year old loved helping, of course in his Pj’s! (that’s what I was wearing too, let’s be honest!)

And in just about an hour…

And look at the trash I collected- TRASH! A Whole Bag!!!

Then I thought, “that was fun, why stop there?!”  So I went to Lowes and decided to get inspired. I found all the products I need to organize my garage (’cause I am one of those “the house isn’t clean if the garage is dirty” kind of people.) but that is something I will feature later when I am totally done with it. But at Lowes, I found these:

Real Organized Steel Freestanding Shelving Unit $17
Rubbermaid Metal Pan Organizer $7

All my pots and pans are just stuffed inside a big, deep cupboard with no shelves or anything so pots are stacked on top of pans, pans are stacked on top of lids and the whole thing is completely disorganized! My husband just bought me new pots and pans for Christmas and I didn’t want them getting scratched and ruined, so I bought both of the above items and now look how great it looks!

I love it!
