A Gift for a Substitute Teacher

gift for a substitute teacher

My daughter's 1st grade teacher had a baby earlier this year, and while she was on maternity leave, my daughter had an AMAZING substitute teacher for 6 weeks. I didn't realize it was her last day teaching until I went to volunteer in the classroom one day. I wanted to get her a card or SOMETHING, and time was running out, so I ran to the closest grocery store to see what I could come up with. I ended up thinking of a perfect gift for a substitute teacher- take a look: What I bought: 1 Gift … [Read more...]

2 Gifts in 1! {Creative Gift Card Holder & Teacher’s Box of Goodies}

teacher goody box and gift card holder

Way back in March of 2010, I featured this idea for a teacher's box of goodies: It was linked to my link party from the creative girls from Eighteen 25 and I bookmarked it to someday recreate this gift for one of my kid's teachers. Leah's teacher this year is also a good friend of mine, so for her birthday last month, Leah and I put this together for her- complete with a … [Read more...]

 My kids started school this week and I am really excited about the teachers they have! I wanted to do something nice for them on the 1st day of school, so I came up with this idea for my kids to give to each of them: Simply take a zippered pencil pouch ($1 @ WalMart) and fill it with Smarties candies. Make a cute tag and add some ribbon- that is it!!! My son is going into 3rd grade, so I put "Mrs. Fuller loves her 3rd grade Smarties" on his teacher's tag. My daughter is going into … [Read more...]

Teacher Appreciation Idea- Bucket of Fun!

teacher appreciation

This is one of the easiest gifts you can put together for teacher appreciation week! The card attached says: "Mrs. Rogers, Because of you I'm a SMARTIE, not a DUM DUM! Love, Ethan" Bucket ($1): I took off the shovel so the handle lays flat against the bucket. Plastic Grass ($1.50): I used 3 packages so that the grass was packed nice and tight and the pencils and candy could stick up more easily without falling over Dum Dum Suckers ($2.50): I only used 5-7 Smartie Candies ($2.50): … [Read more...]
