Toy Story Party

I’m incredibly excited to be sharing this post with everyone!  I’ve been planning a Toy Story party for my best friend’s son’s third birthday for months and could not be more pleased at how everything turned out.

I was inspired by the new Toy Story Mania ride at Disney’s California Adventure (if you haven’t been, it’s a must) and wanted to recreate the carnival like atmosphere of the ride.  I decided to use bright, bold colors, stripes and polka dots and incorporated the Toy Story characters throughout the display.

Goodies included Woody’s Rainbow Lollipops accented with colorful rainbow gumballs, which I found at our local candy store, Sweeties.  The red and white lollipops were a bargain at Walmart.

It’s not a party without cupcakes and I found the perfect cupcake liners at The Cupcake Social.  The Toy Story toppers are from another local favorite of mine, ABC Cake Decorating Supplies.

The Mr. Potato Head chocolate mustaches were so much fun to make, visit the Tweedle Dee Designs blog for the full tutorial.  I also could not be happier with how the rocket lollipop cookies turned out, they match the rocket ship graphic I designed for the printables.  I have to give a big thank you to Marian of Sweetopia for her fabulous cookie tutorials, they were amazingly helpful.

Ashdon enjoyed his party, especially the bubble party favors.

And he definitely enjoyed his cake.  I ordered the cake from Fry’s for only $11 and topped it with lollipops, a Buzz Lightyear candle and one of our printable party signs from our new Toy Box Collection.

I had  an amazing time designing our new printable Toy Box Collection, which is now available in our Etsy Shop, as well as putting together all of the party details.

Here are some of the fabulous shops we used for the party
