Some ideas of mine are: Exercise for 30 minutes, No Sweets, Send a Thank You Card to someone, Plan a play date for your kids, a date for you and your husband, or an outing with some girlfriends, Do something solely for yourself, Eat 3 servings of Fruits/Veggies… I can seriously think of so many goals because there are so many I want to work on!!!

Get ready every day!! That means do your hair and make up and get out of your sweats or grubby's..That dose not mean you have to dress up every day, it just means get dressed every day.
I also think you should have something about journal writing..
I think this is going be a lot of fun and I cant wait to see what you come up with..
I also like the idea of learning a new word every day.. you know expand your vocabulary. When my kids were little I swear all i said was awe so cute, good job. You know what I mean and now that My kids are teens I say things like dude, duh, crap , totally,,.
*read 1/2 hour to your kids
*do 25 crunches
*do 10 push ups
*get enough sleep
*keep the kitchen counter cleared off
I love this!! I also second what Jen said: get ready every day. I am often still in sweats, hair in a pony tail, no make up, etc when my hubby gets home and I hate that!!
Can't wait to hear more!!
I really like all of Jen's ideas.
Devoted playtime/TV off time with kids
Reading for you- whether it's scriptures, books, magazine, etc- something that is uplifting for mom
I can't wait to see what you do!
**mail a handwritten letter or note to someone (this is the age of digital communication)
**Decide on a home improvement project that needs completing and work with your spouse to get it done or do it alone.
**Eat a homecooked meal at the dinner table together as a family with no TV, radio, cell phones or other distractions.
**Love the idea of getting dressed since I am often in my grubby clothes & hair in a ponytail when hubby gets home too!
**Family Game Night – play a game with the family instead of sitting around the TV.
I love the suggestions on here already! I think for me, something about drinking water would be great. Like a point for drinking 8 glasses a day. I loved the fruits and vegetables one from your previous post as well. 1/2 hour of exercise would be fantastic for me! (Especially with all the new exercise stuff I got for Christmas!) Thanks again for doing this!
I like most of the ideas. However, not all of us have kids at home. My son is grown and out on his own.
My ideas are: try a new recipe, finish a started but put aside craft project.
My biggest struggle is snacking while I am cooking dinner and when I "think" I am bored.
I like all of your suggestions already and I second all of them. I would like to add to try to compliment others more. Dont we all like compliments???? Also to try and be more positive and keep in prespective what is really important in life!!!!
I LOVE Jen Sue Wild's idea. I sure could use some motivation to get ready each day. What a difference that would make!
100% agree with the first post! I think it makes a WORLD of difference in how I feel…yet somehow I forget to do it regularly!
*I love Jen Sue Wilds idea and 2Cats idea.
*Give yourself a facial or a mani/pedi, shave your legs on top of getting ready one day.
*stick to a schedule for a day – like only being on the computer for 1 hour, watch 1 tv show….you'll probably realize what time you're wasting
I REALLY like the idea of getting ready everyday…I know I feel great when I actually get ready, but I'm a nanny and its just so easy/lazy to just throw sweats on and go to work no make up etc.
I'm also not sure if this counts but I've had a hard time trying to say positive things to hubby just to make him feel better or have a good day..I know when he has a better day I do too..
I like the idea of cutting soft drinks out of my diet for a week or something..I know I would most likely go in to withdrawls from no dr.pepper..but after the initial shock I would feel better about myself.
Def. something with working out..I'm like a broken record with saying I'm goin to start working out.
Hope this helps.
SO EXCITED.
I am doing two things. First I'm menu planning. I figure that will help me save money, eat and feed my family healthy and lose weight.
The second thing I'm doing is listening to the daily audio Bible and that will take me through the Bible in one year. Links to it are on my blog

How about "clean out a closet and throw out some stuff"
I seriously need to do THAT!
eating healthier is good
getting more sleep…. I tend to stay up too late and suffer the next day
10 mins of meditation
some ideas…

I love all the above comments, but I'd say that if you have a challrnge involving the 'hubby' or the kids..please include something for the single gals too. That way we still have something to work for.
Love these ideas! I wanna play!
I LOVE the "Get ready every day", the "try a new recipe" or "write a handwritten card or letter".
Fun ideas!
sounds like fun! everyone has great ideas…im down for whatever:)
I am enjoying all of the ideas shared by you and those on this comment board.
I would love to have us encouraged to cook meals using only fresh ingredients. Sometimes it is hard to do in the winter, so a little extra motivation for a healthy habit would be good. That might be a little much, so maybe just try a new healthy recipe – just to up the ante a little bit!
I am looking forward to the challenges that await!
I like all the exercise ideas. I need to have a specific something to do though. If I don't I just count chasing my kids around exercise!
Love the idea of eating a home cooked meal with no distractions! I'm excited for this months challenge!!!
I like a lot of the ideas that people have posted. I'm single so I'd love a couple that we single girls could do or that we can adapt.
I was thinking maybe a goal of being positive about yourself. I'm always hard on myself so maybe just trying to laugh things off. Thanks for the challenge!
Lots of good ideas above. One that everyone could do is something to pamper yourself, be is a quick bubble bath, try on a new perfume or personal care product, etc.
Another one would be do something nice for someone, whether it be a family member or stranger. Taking a moment to appreciate others (especially if you are a low-paid, unappreciated waitperson, salesperson or cashier) can really make their day.
Someone already mentioned something similar (do meal planning each week), but one of mine would be to not eat fast food. Before we got married, I never ate fast food, but now it seems like every time I don't feel like cooking (or don't have something planned), we head out to Chick-Fil-A. We end up spending so much money and eating no fruits or veggies.
I am taking a room a month to completely de-clutter. I am trowing, giving, or selling all we do not use in each room. I am tired of making the resolution to keep the house clean. I am hoping when there is much less to clean it will be easier. I have 5 kids so with me luck!
Work smarter not harder is my new motto! Kim
I'm back and Lord willing, will complete this one!!!
Work on eating better. I've learned alot about Anemia and eating better, and nutrition. Most of us don't think too much about what we eat.
Read one nutrition/health book this month.
Take your vitamins. Ladies we really do need that multi-vitamin.
Have been spending 15-30 minutes a day working on UFO's. I really am making a dent.
Spend a little time each day getting crafts, fabrics, etc inventoried. I may have a give-away on scrapbook paper. I will never use it up, nor the fabric. Still have about 20-30 yards of fabric not set aside for anything.
I like the idea about only spending an hour a day on the computer etc. Maybe keep tabs for a week to see where we each "waste" too much time. It could be a real eye opener.
I love just about every single suggestion and all of yours. I can't wait, a need a good challenge and am game for whatever you come up with.
I put your button on my blog to share with everyone else.
Thank you for this and thank you for all the hard work you've done and will be doing to give this challenge to us.
Happy New Year. May God Bless you and yours.
Drink 8 glasses of water.
Wash your dishes.
Eat a balanced dinner.
Do 1 craft project.
Ah! Ditto on the get ready thing!
I have a goal for myself that I have been trying to make a habit forever, personal meditation or scripture study time. At least 15 minutes a day.
I'm single and in college so I like that the "do something with your kids" also included a girl's night.
Water drinking is also a good one, but 8 glasses isn't actually what is recommended anymore, so we should do a little research on the sepcifications.
And the write a letter part is great because it reminds us to think of others as we are improving ourselves.
