Halloween Signs – Trick or Treat Printable

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links.  Please read our disclosure policy.

We love how darling this Trick or Treat Printable is! Perfect for those who prefer their Halloween signs and decor to be a little more cute and a little less scary.

Trick or Treat Printable

I LOVE Halloween… but I have a child who gets a little scared of it – cue the nightmares and sleeping in my bed. And since I value my sleep, I decided that all the decor in my home needs to be on the cute end. No severed limbs or creepy looking portraits over here. I’m sure there are a bunch of other families out there who need to keep the scary levels down, so I created this darling and very NOT gory 8×10 Trick or Treat Printable to help out!

Trick or Treat Halloween Signs

supplies

  • Trick or Treat Printable (download below)
  • 8×10 picture frame
  • scissors (to trim your paper down)

directions

  1. Print off our free printable (below). I recommend sending it into a print shop like Fedex/Kinkos because of the amount of ink used. And their prints come out looking awesome – totally worth the 63 or so cents to print.
  2. Trim your paper down, if needed, to fit inside your frame.
  3. And you’re done! Does it get any easier? I think not. 😉

This darling guy would look great anywhere! And the best part is, no nightmares! This mommy can sleep in peace.

I have a small collection of pumpkins that I have acquired for Halloween decorating. I also created a fall wreath that’s on my door. Love it!

At last count my husband said we had 30 pumpkins, some fresh some painted, some glass, some wooden, but my favorite are the paper bats flying on invisible thread!

So far, and let’s face it, probably all that will end up going up….we have some painted wooden pumpkins, two craft pumpkins (one monster and one princess), two real pumpkins (that we need to carve still!) and one tiny ghost (made from a milk chug container). I feel like October snuck up on us but at least we have some pumpkins! 🙂

We’re pretty simple with decorations around here – a few pumpkins, an old haunted house thing and some decorated foam shapes from the dollar store. 🙂

I like to take the simple and practical root when decorating for Halloween: get some pumpkins and put them on the porch. They keep well out there in the cold and we eat them one by one as fall passes. Decoration that puts itself away! Score! 🙂

I like to add orange lights to our gas wood stove to give it the look of a real fire. It is so cozy looking.

My Halloween decor consists of spiderwebs (fake, of course) on my front porch. various pumpkins scattered around the house, a little styrofoam pumpkin that I created, and a framed witch picture I found at the Graphics Fairy!

Our family doesn’t celebrate Halloween, but I’ve decorated beautifully for Fall! One new idea this year was my decoupaged Holly Hobbie pumpkins that I made for my Etsy shop. I took strips of Holly Hobbie-themed flannel and decoupaged them to a lightweight faux pumpkin. Then I cut out a matching HH graphic from printable fabric and put her on front and center. I painted the stem blue and they are just adorable! (I made 3)

    Have a great day,

    Sarah

I decorated our mantel and hearth with standard Halloween fare (Skulls, pumpkins, etc.) and hung up a few cardboard cutouts in the kitchen. Not too crazy (or sppoky!) but enough to give a Halloween feel! 🙂

We have two kinds of vinyl window cling this year, spooky skeletons, skulls and so forth and the most adorable Winnie the Pooh trick or treat clings. Every year we each carve a pumpkin…and roast the pumpkin seeds…yum!

The smell my feet sign is too cute. (unfortunately, I’ll probably have that little ditty running through my head the rest of the afternoon…)

We’re not big halloween decorators, but I do like to decorate for fall! My favorite decoration is our thankful tree, where we can write on paper leaves and hang them on it to share what we are thankful for. The kids just love it.

Since I’ve been decorating homes for Halloween for more than 35 years, I’ve collected my share of “must have” Halloween decorations. I generally edit these decorations from time to time as I add to them. My favorites that I’ve decorated with this year are a vintage style pumpkin-faced wide-eyed figure complete with black and white striped socks carrying a tiny hallowed out pumpkin with a tin handle for trick or treating. I have a favorite Boyd’s jointed teddy bear wearing a witch’s black pointed hat displayed along with a 2″ wooden block that I decoupaged vintage Halloween pictures on all sides. I also have a pumpkin shaped basket for Halloween candy with curly grapevines winding around its handle with two vintage style stuffed goulish figures made from felt and fabric. I fill my favorite country baskets with silk and dried fall arrangements and scatter colorful silk fall leaves around to complete the scene.

I love your website! Not only is it chuck-full of amazing ideas, it’s inspiring as well; thank you!
