Roll out your dough on a floured surface and cut your dough with your cookie cutters. Place your cut-out dough on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Mix 1 egg yolk with drops of food coloring until you get your desired color. Add 1/4 tsp of water to lighten the colors, if needed. Repeat for all the colors you need.

Dip your paintbrush into the egg mixture and paint your cookies as creatively as you'd like.

Once your cookie dough is painted and looking so pretty, pop them in the oven and bake according to the recipe directions. Cool completely and serve!
