Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Split your Hawaiian rolls in half by cutting down the center while they are all still stuck together.
  • Place the bottom "sheet" of rolls in a casserole dish or on a baking sheet.
  • Cook the steak in a skillet until browned, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cut your strips of meat to fit on each individual roll. This step is necessary so you don't have to cut the rolls apart and so you can make sure each slider has it's own share of meat. Set the meat aside.
  • Saute the pepper and onions for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender.
  • Spread a layer of softened butter on the bottoms of the rolls, then sprinkle with garlic salt.
  • Add a layer of cheese, overlapping as needed.
  • Place a piece of steak onto each roll, then cover the steak with peppers and onions.
  • Place another layer of provolone cheese over the peppers and onions.
  • Spread some softened butter on the inside of the tops of the rolls, then place them on top of the last layer of cheese.
  • Brush the tops of the bread with melted butter.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted.
  • Cut and serve!
