Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in colored sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately press candy kisses in center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely, about 20 minutes.
Serve with some hot cocoa and enjoy!
Notes
*To make colored sugar, add 2 drops of food coloring to 3 tbsp of sugar and mix with a spoon until the color is evenly distributed. Add more sugar or food coloring to get the desired color.
