German Pancakes

German Pancakes are light and fluffy and taste delicious! They are made with just a few ingredients you probably have on hand and they couldn't be any easier to make!

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp of vanilla

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
  • Put 5 tablespoons of butter to a cast iron skillet or 9×13 inch casserole dish. Place the skillet or dish into the preheating oven to melt the butter.
  • Meanwhile, mix the eggs, flour, milk, salt and vanilla until smooth. (You can blend this in a blender or in a mixing bowl.)
  • Pour batter into the baking dish with the melted butter.
  • Bake for approx. 20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and puff up the sides of the skillet.
  • Cut and serve warm.
  • Top with powdered sugar, syrup, and/or fresh fruit.
