Peanut Butter and Jelly Bacon Cheeseburgers
Peanut butter and jelly burgers are an amazing twist on a classic meal.
Servings: 4 people
for the candied bacon:
- 8 slices Signature Select hickory smoked bacon
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
for the burgers:
- 4 fresh ground beef patties
- salt and pepper
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup O Organics smooth peanut butter warmed
- 1/2 cup Signature Select raspberry preserves warmed
- 4 fresh bakery hamburger buns
To prepare the bacon, preheat the oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with foil, and place a cooling rack on top. Lay out the strips of the bacon on the sheet. Sprinkle with the brown sugar and black pepper. Bake 20 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy.
To make the burgers, preheat a grill over medium heat. Sprinkle the ground beef patties with salt and pepper. Cook 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired level of doneness is reached.
To assemble the burgers, place a burger patty on the bottom of each bun. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top, and two slices of candied bacon. Drizzle with the peanut butter and jelly, then repeat with remaining burgers. Enjoy immediately.
