Strawberry Pretzel Squares

These simple strawberry pretzel squares have layer upon layer of deliciousness! A crunchy pretzel crust topped with a sweet cream cheese layer and fresh strawberry topping - they are simple to make and taste amazing!

for the crust:

  • 2 cups  finely crushed pretzels
  • 1/4 cup  sugar
  • 2/3 cup  butter melted

for the filling:

  • 1 1/2 8 ounce packages cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons  milk
  • 1 cup  cool whip thawed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 6 ounce package JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries sliced


  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Mix the pretzel crumbs, sugar and butter; press into bottom of a 9 x 13 pan in an even layer. Bake 10 minutes, then let cool completely.
  • To make the filling, in a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar and milk until blended. Stir in the Cool Whip; spread over the cooled crust. Refrigerate.
  • Add the boiling water to the gelatin mix in a large bowl. Stir 2 minutes, until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in the cold water. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened.
  • Stir the berries into the gelatin, then spoon it over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
