Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13- inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.

  • Boil pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • Add ground beef, onion and green bell pepper to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until the meat is brown and the vegetables are tender.
  • Add garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the meat mixture to the pasta shells, stirring to combine.
  • Spread the shell mixture into the prepared pan and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add flour and whisk for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Whisk in milk and salt until smooth and let simmer for a few minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until smooth.
  • Pour cheese sauce over shells and bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
