- 2 pounds of ground beef
- salt + pepper
- 1- 20 oz can Sliced pineapple (10 slices)
- 6 slices of cheddar cheese
- shredded lettuce
- 24 slices of tomato
- 4 tablespoons of mayo
- 24 King Hawaiian rolls
- 2 cups teriyaki sauce divided, plus more for drizzling.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Press raw ground beef evenly into a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle the ground beef with salt and pepper or seasoning. Pour 1 cup of teriyaki sauce over the top, then bake for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, dip each pineapple slice into the other 1 cup of teriyaki sauce, then lay each slice on a foil-lined baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
When there is only 15 minutes left for the meat to cook, add the tray of pineapple to the oven. Remove the meat and pineapple from the oven. You will notice that the meat has shrunken in from the sides. Drain any juice along the edges. Immediately top with sliced cheese and cut into 24 squares.
Split the rolls and toast them if you’d like, then add a small amount of mayo to one or both sides. Cut the pineapple into quarters ad assemble them by stacking the patty with cheese, the pineapple, tomato slice, and shredded lettuce.
Drizzle with warm teriyaki sauce, then place the tops of the buns on top of the sliders. Serve and ENJOY!
