German Pancakes are light and fluffy and taste delicious! They are made with just a few ingredients you probably have on hand and they couldn't be any easier to make!
Servings: 1 pancake
- 5 tbsp butter
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of flour
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp of vanilla
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Put 5 tablespoons of butter to a cast iron skillet or 9×13 inch casserole dish. Place the skillet or dish into the preheating oven to melt the butter.
Meanwhile, mix the eggs, flour, milk, salt and vanilla until smooth. (You can blend this in a blender or in a mixing bowl.)
Pour batter into the baking dish with the melted butter.
Bake for approx. 20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and puff up the sides of the skillet.
Cut and serve warm.
Top with powdered sugar, syrup, and/or fresh fruit.
