I absolutely LOVE family dinner time, in fact, it just might be my very favorite part of the day. It’s one of the only times in our home where we are all gathered together and the conversation just flows. But when it comes to dinner time, what I struggle with are all the steps it takes BEFORE my family sits down to eat together – planning meals, prepping the ingredients, and grocery shopping… it just takes SO.MUCH.TIME!
Lucky for all busy moms like me, I’ve found a convenient, delicious solution – Blue Apron. (Have you heard of them?)

And speaking of meals that can be made in 20 minutes, I want to share with you the first Blue Apron meal I made for my family – Italian Sausage Focaccia Pizza. Here is how to make it –
Italian Sausage Focaccia Pizza
I’ll show you the simple step-by-step process but scroll to the bottom for a complete recipe card you can print and add to your collection.
First, cook the sausage & make the sauce:
Place an oven rack in the center of the oven, then preheat to 475°F. In a large nonstick pan add the Italian pork sausage. Cook, stirring frequently and breaking the meat apart with a spoon, 5 to 7 minutes, or until browned. Add the tomatoes and chopped roasted peppers. Cook, stirring frequently, 1 to 2 minutes, or until the liquid is slightly thickened and the sausage is cooked through. Turn off the heat.
Assemble the pizza:
Halve the focaccia bread; place on a sheet pan, cut side up. Evenly top with the cooked sausage and sauce, mozzarella, and fontina.
Bake the pizza:
Bake the pizza for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned and the cheese is melted. Carefully transfer to a cutting board and let rest at least 2 minutes.
While the pizza is resting, prepare your favorite dinner salad! Blue Apron included all the ingredients for this delicious Creamy Oregano-Dressed Salad with my Focaccia Pizza recipe. It was AMAZING!
Cut the baked pizza into equal-sized pieces. Serve the pizza with the salad on the side and enjoy!
So easy, right?! And my entire family LOVED it. It was delicious!!!! Here is the printable recipe card –
