A healthy and delicious smoothie bowl is the perfect way to start the day. It’s loaded with fruit, and takes just a few minutes to make!
This year I’ve been trying really hard to focus on my my health. In addition to making good food choices and exercising more regularly, I’ve also made it a priority to take a multivitamin every morning. I’ve been taking these Women’s One Non-GMO Multivitamins, available at Sam’s Club with my breakfast, and after just a week, I am already feeling more energetic and awake. No more stumbling sleepily to the bus stop!
These Rainbow Light vitamins have superfoods, probiotics, and plant-source enzymes. They’re also vegetarian, gluten free, and non-GMO, plus they support bone and immune health with antioxidant vitamins C & E, plus vitamin D. They are easy to digest, which is perfect for my sensitive stomach. I like them because they make sure I get the nutrients I need, even on those busy days when I’m running around like crazy!
For some reason making a healthy breakfast is a little more difficult for me than lunch or dinner. I find it hard to put the effort into making an elaborate healthy breakfast when I could just grab a cereal bar, a handful of granola, or a string cheese on my way out the door. But the truth is, making a healthy breakfast doesn’t need to be complicated, difficult, or time consuming. A smoothie bowl is a great way to start the day, and it only takes about 5 minutes to make!
How to Make a Smoothie Bowl
Making a beautiful smoothie bowl is way easier than you might think. Just blend up some fruit with your favorite beverage (I like to use vanilla soy milk), top it with some sliced berries and bananas, and you’re all set! It’s delicious, healthy, and packed with nutrients. Best of all, it tastes amazing!
I love to use frozen strawberries and bananas as a base for my smoothie bowl, then I top the bowl with fresh sliced berries and bananas. You can experiment as much as you want with different fruits and toppings, though. The sky is the limit! Here are some of my other favorite flavor combinations:
- Chocolate Almond – frozen bananas, almond butter, chocolate protein powder, and almond milk
- Tropical – frozen bananas, pineapple, mango and orange juice
- Acai berry – frozen strawberries, bananas, and acai berry juice
As far as toppings, you can make them as elaborate or simple as you like. Fresh fruit is always a good choice, but you can also add other delicious toppings like granola, toasted coconut, flax seed, chopped nuts, and/or chia seeds. There are so many delicious flavor combinations!
A healthy smoothie bowl with Women’s One Non-GMO Multivitamins is the perfect way to get the morning off on the right foot. I’ve found that when I make healthy choices in the morning, it’s easier to make healthier choices later in the day. One good choice definitely builds on another.
