Pigs in a Blanket are a great lunch, dinner, or party appetizer!
I was completely shocked when my husband told me had never tried nor heard of Pigs In A Blanket before! My mom used to make these ALL THE TIME, I just thought every home in America had them… I guess not! For those of you who haven’t had them either, you’re in for a special, easy, convenient meal or party food! Here’s how to make it:
How To Make Pigs In A Blanket
INGREDIENTS:
- hot dogs
- refrigerated biscuit dough (I’ve used regular, flaky & crescent rolls and they are all fantastic! Use whatever you prefer!)
- shredded cheddar cheese, optional
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 375. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Cut hot dogs into thirds and cut biscuits in half.
- Center 1 hot dog on a biscuit and wrap the sides up around the dog, pinching in the center to secure. (If you’re using croissants, place the hot dog at the thick end of triangle and roll it towards the small point of the triangle.)
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on baking sheet with the seam side down.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuit are golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve with ketchup and mustard for dipping and that’s it!
Enjoy!
