Easy Sweet and Sour Meatballs
This sweet and sour meatballs recipe is courtesy of my friend, Jenny, who brought this delicious dish to several parties and made my taste buds fall in love!!!
You can bring these easy sweet and sour meatballs to a party or get together (they make the best little cocktail meatballs!) OR you can partner them with some rice or mashed potatoes, maybe throw in a salad and make a complete meal of it!
To make these easy sweet and sour meatballs, simply place your meatballs in a crock pot, pour our special meatball sauce over the top, then cover and cook until you’re ready to eat! It really doesn’t get any easier than that! (I love a good crock pot meatballs recipe – don’t you?)
Tip For Making Sweet and Sour Meatballs
You can make these easy sweet and sour meatballs by using meatballs made from scratch (here is a delicious homemade meatball recipe). OR, if you’re short on time, store-bought meatballs are just fine! (It’s what I used most of the time!)
Sauce For Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Can we talk for a minute about this amazing meatball sauce recipe ? It is to.die.for. It is both sweet and tangy and it tastes fantastic! You cook the ingredients over the stove to dissolve the brown sugar, and the flavors come together so nicely! In no time at all, you’ll have the PERFECT sweet and sour sauce for meatballs!
Items Used To Make Sweet and Sour Meatballs
- A Crock Pot – I use an 8 quart to feed our family
- Large sauce pan
- A 9 x 13 baking pan if you are going to bake them in the oven

How To Make Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Easy Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cup Vinegar
- 3/4 cup BBQ Sauce
- 3 tsp. Dijon Mustard
- 3 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 - 32 oz Bag Frozen Meatballs
Instructions
CROCK POT METHOD:
- Combine all ingredients, except meatballs in a saucepan over the stove to heat up and dissolve sugar.
- Meanwhile, place meatballs in your crock pot.
- When sugar is dissolved, pour heated sauce over the meatballs and cover the crock pot.
- Bake on low 6-8 hours or on high 4-6 hours.
- Serve and enjoy!
OVEN METHOD:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine all ingredients, except meatballs in a saucepan over the stove to heat up and dissolve sugar.
- Meanwhile, place meatballs in a 13x9 inch baking dish.
- When sugar is dissolved, pour heated sauce over the meatballs and cover the baking dish with foil.
- Bake for 30-45 minutes or until heated through.
- Serve right away, or put it in your crock pot on low til the party starts!
