Are the Dishes Clean or Dirty?

I thought I’d share a quick little project I whipped up to help solve a problem. We wash the dishes and load them, but since no one can remember if the load has been started or not, I always hear the question: Are the dishes clean or dirty?

Solution: Signs!

How I Did It:
-Cut out some letters on the Cricut. (you can print them off in a cute font from your computer too)
- Taped them down and cut around them
- Laminate them

-Cut them out
- Attach some velcro strips on the backs of the words and one on the dishwasher.

-Stick it on the machine. Just switch them out between loads of dishes. Dirty as soon as you empty the dishwasher, clean as soon as you turn on the machine.

I’m pretty certain this could have saved a lot of confusion in my parents’ house when I was growing up.

  2. I've been meaning to make signs for my dishwasher since my husband finds it way too hard to actually look inside to see if its clean or dirty lol…this is very easy TFS!

  3. I can definitely relate to Beth! Husband leaves dishes in the sink with an empty dishwasher! Too hard to check!
