These patriotic jello cookies are the perfect addition to any upcoming Fourth of July celebrations, whether you’re having a BBQ or picnic, or staying home and watching fireworks from your lawn. They are simple to make and taste delicious!
Memorial Day and the Fourth of July are right around the corner, which means it’s time to start thinking about all things red, white and blue. If you’re looking for a tasty, simple treat for your 4th of July celebration, this jello cookie recipe is just for you! Not only are they suuuuuper easy to make, but they are soft and chewy and totally delicious!
Why You’ll Love These Patriotic Cookies
- Quick and Easy: Only a few simple ingredients needed!
- Festive and Fun: Customize the colors for any holiday or party.
- Soft and Chewy: Just the right amount of sweetness and softness.
Jello cookies are one of my go-to recipes because they always turn out amazing with very little effort — just like my other favorites: Cake Box Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chewy M&M Cookies
Tips for the Best Jello Cookies
- Use gel food coloring for the most vivid colors without changing the dough texture.
- Chill the dough if it’s too sticky to handle easily.
- Don’t overbake! These cookies are meant to be soft — take them out when the edges are just set.
How to Make Patriotic Jello Cookies
The dough for these cookies is similar to a classic sugar cookie, but with a twist! By mixing in a little flavored jello powder and food coloring, you get bright, vibrant cookies that taste just as good as they look.
The best part? You can swap out the colors and flavors to match any celebration — think orange and black for Halloween, pastels for Easter, or green and red for Christmas!
