The Best Oven Baked Wings
When it comes to snack foods, chicken wings are where it’s at! They’re delicious, easy to make, and come in just about every flavor combination you can dream up. I discovered my love of chicken wings about two years ago, and since then, I’ve been obsessed. These crispy baked chicken wings are my favorite way to make them at home. They’re simple, quick, and incredibly delicious!
These crispy baked chicken wings have only five ingredients, and come out of the oven golden brown and perfectly crisp. They’re healthier than fried wings, but they still have the same delicious taste and perfect texture. They’re also so unbelievably easy to make!
These crispy baked chicken wings are one of our favorite recipes, and I hope you’ll give them a try too! These wings are a huge favorite at our house, with both kids and adults! I’m always pleasantly surprised by how crisp and delicious they are, considering that they are baked, not fried. The crispy coating on the outside adds a lot of great flavor!
How To Bake Chicken Wings
Prep – Start by preheating your oven to 450 degrees F. You’ll also want to line your baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or some foil. Also, give it a little shot of cooking spray to keep the wings from sticking.
Crispy Exterior – Put the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper into a large Ziplock bag and give it a good shake to mix everything up. Next, toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture to give them a good coat. Place the wings about 1-2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Then give the top of the wings a little spray with the cooking spray.
Cook Them – Bake the chicken wings for 20 minutes and then turn them over so they cook evenly. Bake them for an additional 15 minutes, until they’re crispy and golden brown.
Serving Ideas For Wings
Sauces – Once you’ve baked your chicken wings, you’ll need something delicious to dip them in! As great as they are on their own, though, they are fantastic when dipped in a cool and creamy ranch dressing! The flavors complement each other perfectly. We also love a good buffalo or BBQ sauce too. Just grab any of your favorite sauces and start dipping!
Veggies – I also like to serve them with a variety of fresh veggies for dipping too. My kids love dipping the veggies in the ranch dressing too. It’s a great way to get them to eat their vegetables with smiles on their faces. 🙂

Crispy Baked Chicken Wings Recipe
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Preheat the oven to 450. Line a baking sheet with foil or a silicone liner and spray with cooking spray.
- In a large ziplock bag, toss together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the wings in the flour mixture to coat. Place the wings 1-2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet and spray the top of the wings with cooking spray.
- Bake 20 minutes, then turn the wings. Bake an additional 15 minutes, until crispy and golden brown. Serve hot with ranch dressing for dipping.
