Raspberry Chocolate Protein Shake

This time of year, a lot of us are working hard on being healthier. It’s the perfect time to recommit to our goals of eating better, exercising more, and having a more balanced life. Sometimes, though, the whole process of change can feel really overwhelming!

As a working mom, it’s often very challenging for me to balance nutritious meals and daily exercise with all of the other obligations on my plate. I’m busy all day with work, school activities, dance classes for the kids, and running the household. However, I’ve definitely found that my day goes better when I start the day with a nutritious breakfast. This raspberry chocolate protein shake is a healthy and delicious choice! Protein shakes are my favorites for breakfast because they’re quick to make, easy to take on the go, and they help get me through the morning.

I used Burt’s Bees™ Plant-Based Protein +Healthy Radiance in Chocolate to make my breakfast shake, and I was really impressed with both the taste and the texture of the shake powder. It blended up very smooth, with no weird aftertaste or grittiness. Burt’s Bees uses five protein sources to make its Plant-Based Protein Shakes: pea, brown rice, flax seed, sunflower seed and

The shake powder is lightly sweetened with honey, monk fruit extract, and Stevia leaf extract, and comes in three formulas (Daily Protein, Protein +Healthy Radiance and Protein +Gut Health) in chocolate and vanilla flavors (Protein +Gut Health only comes in Vanilla). In addition, all formulas contain a vitamin blend, extracted from real fruits and vegetables. The vitamin blend includes spinach, broccoli, carrot, beet, tomato, shiitake mushroom, apple, cranberry, cherry, orange, blueberry and strawberry.

Raspberry Chocolate Protein Shake

This raspberry chocolate protein shake takes just a few minutes to make, and tastes just like dessert! Raspberry and chocolate is always one of my favorite flavor combinations, but it’s even better when it’s good for me too. This smooth and creamy shake is the perfect way to start the day!

Although I love the raspberry and chocolate combination, the sky’s the limit when it comes to shake flavors! I’m thinking some fresh peaches would be delicious with the vanilla shake powder. Another great idea would be to add a scoop of peanut butter and a banana to the chocolate shake powder. Be sure to check out Burt’s Bees on Pinterest for more tasty recipe ideas.
