This tropical banana smoothie recipe uses only three ingredients and is ready in under five minutes. Made with fresh fruit, it’s super delicious and perfect for an easy breakfast or quick snack!
Breakfast smoothies are my favorite! Some of my other favorite fruit healthy smoothies are Blueberry Pomegranate Smoothies, Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Orange Creamsicle Smoothies, and Peach Smoothies.
An Easy Breakfast Smoothie
If there are two things my kids love, they are smoothies and bananas! No matter the day, time, or season, they are always excited about a good smoothie, particularly one with bananas in it.
This tropical banana smoothie is one of their favorites and always disappears quickly at our house. It’s creamy and smooth, incredibly flavorful, and so delicious!
It’s thick enough to serve as a smoothie bowl with fresh fruit and granola, but it’s also perfect to pour in a couple of tumblers for breakfast on the go!
How to Make A Banana Smoothie
This smoothie could not be easier to make and is a great way to use up ripe bananas before they go bad! The frozen fruit creates a nice thick smoothie, with a creamy texture almost like soft-serve ice cream. The combination of banana and pineapple tastes just like a tropical vacation in a glass. Yum!
INGREDIENTS –
- bananas
- pineapple, fresh or canned
- orange juice
- vanilla yogurt – greek yogurt or regular yogurt both work great!
If you want to add in any other type of fruit or veggies, go for it! (Mango and strawberry taste amazing!) Feel free to add protein powder, too!)
DIRECTIONS –
Blend – Mix everything in your blender for a couple of minutes until it’s your desired consistency – nice and smooth.
Too Thick? – If it’s a little too thick for your liking, add a little more juice about a tablespoon at a time.
SERVE – Pour your smoothies into 2 cups and enjoy!
If you love bananas as much as we do, you will adore this tropical banana smoothie. It’s perfect for a quick and healthy breakfast, a sweet after-school snack, or a tempting bedtime treat!
