What is Hot Honey?

Hot Honey is a sweet and spicy condiment that is definitely growing in popularity these days! More and more restaurants are serving it drizzled over cornbread, biscuits, pizza, fried chicken + waffles, and even ice cream! It’s a deliciously sticky sauce that pairs well with so many flavors!

How to make Hot Honey

There are a couple of brands available to purchase at the grocery store, but you can make your own version at home for a fraction of the cost.

Other recipes to make this honey require letting honey simmer in a small saucepan on the stove with chile peppers, chili flakes, red peppers, and other spices for hours. This quick and easy method calls for 2 ingredients – regular honey and hot sauce – and it is ready to be consumed in 60 seconds!

INSTRUCTIONS –

1. Combine ¼ cup honey and 1-2 teaspoons of hot sauce in a glass bowl.
2. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir to combine.
3. Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for 2 months.
